Who I am
dotdotQ is run by Jack Perry, a sole trader in the UK ("Jack Perry trading as dotdotQ"). I'm responsible for the personal data described here.
What the health check form collects
- Your studio name
- Your game's Steam store link
- Your email address
- Anything you choose to write in "what do you want to know?"
That's all. There's no tracking, no analytics and no advertising cookies on this site.
Why I collect it
Only to prepare your free health check from your game's public Steam data, send it to you, and reply to your questions. I won't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone to market to you.
The legal basis is that you've asked me to do this (steps you request before a possible contract), and my legitimate interest in replying to studios who contact me.
Who else handles it
- Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions on my behalf. Netlify is based in the US, so your data may be stored there under standard data protection safeguards.
- Fly.io hosts my private, password-protected client list, where your request is copied so I can reply and keep track of it. It's stored in a London data centre.
- Cloudflare provides the domain and the login that protects that client list.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site. Your browser fetches them from Google, which means Google sees your IP address.
- My email provider, when I reply to you.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your request within 6 months of our last contact. If we do work together, I keep business records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes (usually 6 years), and nothing more than I need.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it completely. Email me at dotdotqdata@proton.me and I'll reply within 24 hours on UK working days and act on it within a month at most.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
